In October we were part of the Waitrose green token scheme. We ended up receiving £148 which we will be using to buy new equipment for the playground. This is fantastic news.

We also raised £932 at the school Christmas fayre; this was also a fabulous effort. Thank-you to all our wonderful TAs who helped to organise this and make it a great success. Thank-you so much once more.

Today was party day. The children looked magnificent in their party clothes. We began the day singing Christmas songs, pulling crackers and telling jokes in the ks2 hall. In the afternoon, children enjoyed their annual Christmas parties- there was lots of dancing, eating and fun. Here are some pictures of children in their Christmas outfits. We would like to thank everyone for their support during the term and we wish you all a happy Christmas.

Wed 18 Dec 2019 Mr Pegram

Children at Southglade Primary School enjoyed a festive Christmas dinner with all the trimmings today. Tia, our outstanding cook, prepared a  fabulous dinner; all the children  were served their food at their table and enjoyed pulling a Christmas cracker. Festive fun was had throughout lunchtime as children enjoyed wearing their party hats and reading their cracker jokes.

A huge thanks to all the staff who made this special occasion run so smoothly!

KS2 children put on an amazing production of Aladdin for our Christmas show this year. Parents enjoyed 3 performances with the culmination being a magnificent atmospheric show on Tuesday 17th December. The acting was first class (credit to Mrs Dowse), the dancers were on point (huge thanks to Mrs Della Rocca) and the singing was tuneful and powerful (massive thanks to Mrs McCarthy and Mrs Carter). Below are some pictures of the fabulous cast...

  • KS1 Christmas Show

Tue 17 Dec 2019 Miss Smith

The KS1 performance of 'I'm Gonna Shine' was simply fantastic. Held over two mornings, the children did an amazing job learning a range of original songs and showcasing some fantasic acting. Even with a couple of last minute stand ins on Thursday, the children coped with all the music, lights and microphones like professionals. We are all so proud of them and thank you to the KS1 team for all their hard work and effort.
