• Y2 Nottingham Castle Visit

  Today, Tuesday 23rd April, Y2 visited Nottingham Castle. They had a brilliant day; the children displayed exemplary behaviour throughout. Mrs Bragg and Miss Huggett took some great pictures of their visit. These are below.

• Easter Bonnet Parade

  On the final day of term our children came to school in their amazing Easter bonnets. This is always a very exciting day and it was wonderful to see so many children get involved. A massive thank-you to all the parents who helped their children to get some creative when making fabulous Easter bonnets.

• Southglader of the Week Assembly

  Today, in our Southglader of the Week assembly, we have been celebrating children who follow our school code of conduct. We were specifically looking for children who are always careful with their hands and feet at all times.

• Y2 Pizza Making

  On Wednesday 27th March 2024, Year 2 had some visitors from Asda to help with making pizzas. The children made pizzas and they took them home to be cooked.

  They really enjoyed them and they looked really tasty.

  

• Y2 Church Visit

  As part of our Easter Celebration Day Y2 visited Bestwood Park Church to find out about Palm Sunday.

  They had a really great time and learnt a lot linked to the theme of Palm Sunday. Below are some pictures.

  

• Y5 Trip to the National Justice Museum

  Year 5 went to the National Justice Museum on Friday 22nd of March to take part in a pretend trial that linked to their class text Holes.

  The children took on all sorts of roles and were exemplarily behaved.

• Y3 and Y4 Performance

  Today, Y3 and Y4 have wowed their parents and family friends with an amazing performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There was fabulous acting, dancing and singing throughout and the audience were treated to a spectacular and colourful show.

• Easter Raffle

  We are holding an Easter raffle to raise money for school funds to develop our outdoor provision.

  Tickets will be on sale after school on the playground and the KS1 gate entrance for £1.00 a strip.

  

• Comic Relief

  Today- Friday 15th of March- we have been raising money for Comic Relief. We had joke telling competitions in classes (more information on class pages I am sure) and everyone made a real effort to wear red and bring in a donation for this great cause.
