Friday is spelling test day!

In our last grammar lesson we started looking at subordinating conjunctions. This is a conjunction (joining) word like because, that, when, if. These conjunctions join two clauses (parts of a sentence) when one clause depends on the other for it to make sense.

 

For example:

 

George ran back home because the shop was closed.

 

I will eat the chocolate cake when I have finished my fruit.

 

Today we are going to be looking at co-ordinating conjunctions. These are conjunctions (joining words) which join two clauses together and either clause makes sense standing alone.

 

For example:

I went to the park and played on the swings.

 

I have a bike but I don't use it very often.

Computing

 

Today in computing we are using spreadsheets on PurpleMash 2Calculate to help us work out some sums. Click on your 2Dos at the top of the screen to find it.

Remember we can see who has completed the 2Dos and who has not, so well done to those that have done them so far. 

 

 

Watch the video of Miss Storer showing you what to do below. This week she has had a go at showing you on an iPad too for those of you who are using a tablet. It is a bit more tricky to use the 2Calculate programme on a tablet, so don't worry if it takes you a bit longer.
