Fri 26 Nov 2021 Mr Pegram

On Thursday 25th November, an amazing group of y5 and y6 pupils took part in the B final for the teams who finished 2nd in their heats. We did incredibly well and ended up finishing 4th which means that are school will be in the top 10 for athletics across the whole city.

Every single child competed brilliantly and gave 100% effort throughout.

Myself and Mrs Finnie were very proud of you all. A massive thanks to Lorna who also supported us on the trip.

Once more the behaviour of the children was incredible- even during the 3 hour journey due to a serious traffic jam!

  • Holocaust Centre Visit

Sat 06 Nov 2021 Mr Pegram

    Holocaust Centre Visit

Children in Year 6 visited the Holocaust Centre near Newark on Friday 5th November. We learnt all about how Jewish children were treated differently in the run-up to and, including WW2, by the Nazis. The children followed the story of a boy called Leo who was rescued from this dreadful situation by taking the Kindertransport from Germany to the United Kingdom. Our learning value this half-term is empathy so 6sp and 6s were able to put themselves in the shoes of others to consider how they'd feel.
