56% of our EYFS pupils reached the standard known as the good level of development and this compares to 65% of pupils nationally.

79% of our pupils passed the phonics screening by the end of y1 compared to 75% of pupils nationally.

Our pupils matched or exceeded the national picture at the expected standard in all areas apart from writing.

Our progress scores were positive which meant that children progressed at broadly national expectations which is a real achievement given the disruption caused by the pandemic.

An area to focus on is ensuring that a larger number of pupils achieve the higher standards in reading.
