Rainbow Day- Colour mixing
We kick started our Rainbow Day by using our knowledge of colour mixing from primary and secondary colours to mix a range of shades and tints. We listened to music and painted freely. Some of us chose to paint rainbows whilst other painted a Christmas scene.
Super scientists
This half term we are learning all about habitats and food chains. We have already learnt so much about life processors, habitats, microhabitats and minibeasts. We have done lots of exploring around the school and in the school grounds to see what lives in our habitats and what microhabitats exist within these.
Fantastic Maths!
This half term the children in Year 2 have been super busy practising and applying their knowledge of addition and subtraction.
They have learnt lots of different methods for adding and subtracting and have really amazed their teachers with their brilliant maths! Some of the methods we have learnt include column addition and subtraction, drawing and counting our tens and ones as well as using a range of practical resources to show and prove their answers.
