Reading at Home

On this web page we will be regularly updating links to different websites, YouTube, Cbeebies, Alphablocks, activities which link to stories, poems and rhymes for your child to click on and read, follow, listen to, join in and enjoy. 

Below is a wonderful link  of lots of stories online from some of our favourite authors read by some famous faces. Click on the link below and enjoy exploring the stories.

Each week they have a new focus author and they release a video from the author, a Q&A from the author and an audio book for their books. So far there has been Jacqueline Wilson, Nizrana Farook and Sally Gardner.

Oxford Owl sits alongside the books we use in school. There are non-fiction ebooks.

 It is easy to navigate to the correct age group and reading level.

They also have online dictionaries and a range of reading for pleasure books.

This website has great ebooks for phonics, poetry, riddles and tongue twisters!

They also provide links to where the book can be purchased if the child enjoys it.

Another great link for EYFS-KS1. Lots of stories read online to the children.

If children have access to a kindle, this is a great website where you can download free childrens stories such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar or Cat in the Hat. You will need to sign up but it is free to do so.
