    Dodgeball Tournament

On Thursday 22nd September, Mrs Finnie took a brilliant group of Y6 pupils to Harvey Hadden to participate in a gathering of schools for a Dodgeball tournament. The children represented Southglade Primary School wonderfully, showed great sportsmanship and enjoyed some games of dodgeball against other local schools.

  • Music Camp

Thu 22 Sep 2022 Mr Pegram

    Music Camp 16.9-17.9

The 5 Year 5 children arrived at Ilam Hall at 11.00 and started their music lessons; they were then showed to their rooms. The children were very excited about making new friends and being in their dorms (this is often the best bit on a residential).

Afterwards the children had a lesson outside and the music teacher said that they impressed at how much they picking up in the lessons.

In the evening and the following day, the children were excited about the call and response night challenge and they were focused doing it.

But the biggest excitement came when we went on the nightly walk!

Miss Parr was very complimentary of the behaviour of all of the children who will now be attending Area Band on a Tuesday night to continue their music education.

I would like to thank Miss Parr for giving up her own time over the weekend to accompany the children on their music experience and also to Mrs Finnie who met them back at school on Saturday evening.

  • Cross Country Success

Thu 22 Sep 2022 Mr Pegram

    Cross Country

On Tuesday 20th September, a group of 8 children (4 boys and 4 girls) entered the Nottingham City Cross Country tournament  that was held at Harvey Hadden.

Each child had to run 1.5km around a cycling track before handing a baton onto the next member of their team.

The girls team did brilliantly finishing 5th in the whole city which is a superb achievement.

Meanwhile the boys' team finished 2nd meaning that our y5/6 boys' team were the 2nd best team in the whole of Nottingham City . What a great start to our sporting year!
