  • Children in Need

Fri 16 Nov 2018 Mr Pegram

Southglade Primary went all spotty today for Children in Need. All sorts of amazing costumes were created in order to raise money for this fantastic charity. It is brilliant to report that by 11am this morning we had already raised over £330 which is a fantastic effort by all the children, parents/ carers and staff members.

A huge thank-you from every member of staff at Southglade Primary School.

Below are some pictures of fabulous costumes that children wore across school.

  • Creative Arts Visit to Robin Hood

Thu 15 Nov 2018 Mrs Dowse

Today on the 15th of November, the children had the exciting opportunity to perform their contemporary dance piece to Robin Hood Primary and Nursery School.

They performed to Years 1-4; they totally captivated their audience with their mesmerising dance which linked perfectly with anti-bullying week. The children did a brilliant job of conveying a positive message about how to overcome bullying using music and dance as their medium.

I am extremely proud of all of the children for their determination, commitment and talent that they brought to the piece. They were truly AMAZING and represented the very best of Southglade!

  • Athlete Visit

Sun 11 Nov 2018 Mr Pegram
On Wednesday we had a very special visitor who  delivered an assembly about resilience (our learning value this half term). Alan Rapley competed in the GB swimming team during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Although he had missed out on qualifying for the 1992 Olympics by 0.05secs, hard-work and perseverance allowed him to fulfil his lifelong dream. He inspired the children and helped them to realise that anything is possible when you are resilient. Special thanks to Mrs Morton and Miss Smith for organising this fabulous opportunity!
  • 6PS Wagamamas Visit

Thu 08 Nov 2018 Mr Pegram

Please visit the y6 page for more information and pictures about the visit!
