On Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th September we hosted our first parent meetings of the year for F2 and Y1 parents based on phonics and reading. Thank you to everyone who attended the meetings. We spoke about the different phonics terminology we use, our phonics scheme, provided a range of phonics resources and discussed the reading opportunities provided in school and at home. 

 

All parents will receive the phonics information and we will provide extra information for any parent who requests further support. 

 

Our main focus is read, read, read at every opportunity, help your child to blend and apply phonics sounds they have been exposed to and ensure they have a love of reading.
