Spain Afternoon 2.10.2025
This afternoon we celebrated Spain around school. We learnt lots of facts about Spain such as what the capitsl city is, the food they eat, the population and well known artists who were born in Spain. We all had a great time consolidating our spoken words and sentences in KS2 and learning new words in KS1.
We participated in lots of fun activities including Spanish cooking and celebrated different artists who have come from Spain including Picasso, Antoni Gaudi and Carlos de Haes. We then recreated some art work based on the artist.
In Foundation we looked at the Spanish flag, the children made the Spanish flag and then coloured it in using the correct colours.
In Year 3 they looked at painting a Spanish landscape using water colours.
The Year 4 children also had a great time cooking some yummy Spanish lemon cup cakes.
In Year 6 they were inspired by modern Spanish artists to create their own art work.
