    The Rainbow Room

At Southglade, we are proud to offer a dedicated provision known as the Rainbow Room. This nurturing space supports some of our pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who require additional provision beyond that offered within the classroom setting.

The Rainbow Room provision is overseen by the school’s SENDCo and delivered by our Special Needs Assistants (SNAs). All support is carefully planned and closely linked to individual EHCP outcomes, ensuring that children receive targeted provision that helps them make meaningful progress and achieve their full potential.

Access to the Rainbow Room is flexible and responsive to pupils’ needs, with children attending at different times throughout the school day. When provision is not taking place within the Rainbow Room, support may be delivered in a variety of other settings, including the classroom, library, Creative Arts room, DT practical room, sensory room, or outdoor spaces.

Through this inclusive and personalised approach, we aim to support every child’s learning, wellbeing, and independence.

    Celebrating St George's Day

We have begun exploring our healthy eating theme. This week, we developed our fine motor skills by using scissors to cut spaghetti, made thoughtful choices when creating healthy food plates, practised writing shopping lists, and enhanced our communication skills through a shop role-play activity.
