Welcome to all of our returning children and their families and a special welcome to all of our new children and families joining us this year.

It has been wonderful to see everyone settling back into our Nursery routine. Throughout the week, we have been reminding ourselves and each other about our rules and how we can be kind, caring and respectful towards our friends. 

The children have enjoyed exploring our Nursery environment, making new friends and getting back into the routine.   

We have been painting self portraits using a range of skin tone colours and having a go at painting our facial features. We also enjoyed getting creative with different photos of ourselves and adding some funky hairstyles to our portraits! 

We have been learning how to make split pin family members. We had lots of practice using a hole punch to make holes and then used split pins to attach the different body parts together. We enjoyed creating movable family members and seeing how we could make their arms and legs move!

Learning the names of the characters in our focus book, So Much!. We enjoyed talking about the characters and joining in with the story.

Enjoying looking at books and singing our favourite nursery rhymes, including Twinkle, Twinkle and Two Little Dickie Birds. Afterwards, we thought that adding our friends’ names to the songs could be lots of fun!
