Remote Learning 

In the unfortunate event that the school has to close to pupils due to circumstances beyond our control (for example, severe weather, COVID-19, or disruption to water or heating supplies), remote learning will be provided.

All pupils will receive remote learning through their class page on the school website, Comms Hub and/or Microsoft Teams. The amount of work provided will be appropriate to the age and stage of the child.

School staff will endeavour to upload learning activities to the relevant platform (school website, Comms Hub and/or Microsoft Teams) by 8:30am each day.

We expect that remote education, including watching recorded lessons, attending Microsoft Teams sessions and completing independent work, will take pupils approximately the following amount of time each day, in line with government guidance:

• Key Stage 1: 3 hours per day (less for younger children)
• Key Stage 2: 4 hours per day

Remote learning hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm. During this time, pupils may submit work and teachers and support staff will be available to monitor and respond to emails.
