This half term in Year 3 we are learning about Volcanoes, Earthquakes and Hurricanes in our geography driver. Our topic book is Phillip Pullman's - The Firework Maker's Daughter. We have lots of exciting activities planned this half term to enrich our learning.
This week we have been on our residential. We had 2 days full of activities including pirate themed activities and survival activities. In the evening we sat around a campfire and played some games. We all had a great time, look at the pictures of our activities below.
This week we have been continuing to look at fractions in our maths lessons.
This week we have been on a trip to the Magna Centre in Rotheram. We explored the Centre which is split into 4 sections Earth, Air, Fire and Water. We had a fantastic day completing all the hands on activities.
This week we continued to look at time this week in maths. We looked at telling the time to the nearest 1 minute using an analogue clock. We then started to look at telling the time using a digital clock.
Week 5 - Art Week
This week was all focused around creating artwork inspired by Britain in the style of pop art. We worked with a Year One class to collaboratively create a piece of art work, we made bunting and created a group piece of art.
