As well as half-termly celebration days, each year group will also focus on a big question. These questions provide opportunities for our pupils to further develop their understanding of religions and comparisons between them.
This morning, we had a visit from the Bishops from the local church. They delivered an exciting assembly and then carried out some lessons with Years 3 and 4, focusing on their big questions.
Year 3 looked at the creation story, and discussed how we can look after the world that God made. We spoke about how Christians believe God created the Earth in 7 days and what this means to them.
Year 4 were told the story of Zacchaeus the tax-collector, who was disliked. He changed his ways and the children had to think about characteristics which defined him. They spoke about new beginnings and change.
